At the conference, John Saiz, Principle Industrial Fellow for IfM Education and Consultancy Services, will be covering findings of a review of technology and innovation management capabilities within the oil and gas (O&G) sector.
Many international organisations are taking part in the research including Halliburton and Subsea 7. Organisations interested in participating have until 31 May to register their interest.
About the survey
A senior representative from each organisation will take part in a survey to consider capabilities against an Innovation and Technology Management (ITM) framework developed at the IfM. The confidential assessments will be used to develop a paper that has been accepted as an abstract proposal to the R&D Management Conference 2018. This paper will:
Examine the ITM processes within the selected group of oil & gas exploration and service companies, presenting a picture of performance trends and issues;
Discuss the trends and issues and their significance, particularly for organisations that strive to remain at the cutting edge of innovation.
Participating organisations will also receive a tailored report of their assessment which can be used to inform decisions and priorities for developing ITM capabilities.
